This is a new position created as the organisation continues to grow. We need you to help accelerate the delivery of new capabilities within existing products and to create further innovative solutions using the latest advances in technology.

This vacancy is to join the Global Architecture Team.

This technical, hands on role will see you leading teams of on-shore or off-shore developers, working closely with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Project Managers to deliver investment, accounting and payment solutions to customers globally.

The Role
The successful candidate will design and deliver solutions to satisfy customer requirements

You’ll need to be a strong communicator, able to engage effectively with Senior IT management, PM’s, BA’s, System Analysts & Developers to ensure solutions are within the context the IT Strategy, are fit for purpose and to ensure designs are properly understood.

You’ll be well versed in designing solutions, quality checking those solutions with other designers

Any experience in working with on and off shore teams is an advantage. Project teams may be UK based, US based or offshore, or a mixture of all three.

Product & Systems Knowledge

The environment is Unix / Oracle based so experience with those is essential.
Database analysis and design to ensure seamless integration of design changes within the existing architecture
Oracle SQL and Pro*C or (C / C++)
A background in pensions DC market or insurance / other type of claims systems is highly desirable

It would be beneficial to have a working knowledge of:
o pension payroll processing systems
o payment processing systems
o integration with accounting packages
