Our client, an NHS organisation in SW London urgently require x3 Microsoft Server Specialist for Permanent positions within the organisation.

The successful candidate will have expert technical knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory, and in depth knowledge of infrastructure security and networking. They will have excellent technical knowledge in, and experience of, server virtualisation, domain name services, and Active Directory distributed file services (DFS). They must be expert in scripting technologies such as PowerShell, and have demonstrable experience both of developing Microsoft technology based solutions and resolving complex problems involving Windows and its interactions with hardware and other software.

Summary

This post will be part of the Server and Network support function within the Network Support Team. Other duties include planning and implementing system changes on live platforms without unexpected service impacts. You may be asked to creatively apply your technical knowledge to complete non-routine and unpredictable tasks. Documenting your work and maintaining technical standards is also considered important.

We are looking for an individual with experience in an IT technical role who has at least 5 years’ experience of delivering and supporting servers in a large enterprise environment (2500+ users & 75+ servers). Other essential skills include proficiency in configuration and change management (ITIL), in developing procedures for new services, and in providing advice to users and peers on system function and best practice. Experience of working in the NHS would be preferable but not essential.
