Role: Business Intelligence / Reporting Manager – Automation (Marketing)
Location: London (Central)
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (based on experience)
Benefits: 10% on target bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance, etc.

You’re going to be joining a BI and Reporting team who principally take care of the company’s reporting suite. Their build principal is to automate as much as possible, and that stakeholders are able to self-serve effectively.

The output is for the company’s marketing and commercial teams, including key management reporting used by the firm’s C-Suite. Providing insight on key performance indicators and which really help educate and support key business decisions around marketing and customer initiatives.

They’re in the final stages of deciding a new platform which power this (the decision is between Qlik, Power BI or Tableau). Once installed, all existing reports will need to be migrated across.

This gives an opportunity to re-think and re-build existing reports and visualisations. To potentially introduce new design principals in order to make them more impactful, valuable and easy to understand. In addition, there will be the need to support with getting stakeholders up to speed on the self-serve side of things with the new platform too.

Because of their unique position right now, the firm isn’t specific on which of these 3 tools they want to see from someone’s experience. Just that you’re conversant with one of them.

They do, however, want to see everything else from an output point of view. E.g. the pre-requisite credentials in building automated reporting solutions. Structuring them for the long-term, and a good eye for creating impactful visualisations and dashboards which are intuitive and valuable to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and defining BI solutions to meet the businesses need for data
  • Engaging business stakeholders, explaining and translating reporting into compelling stories as well as actionable insight
  • Establishing and maintaining automated reporting capabilities on things like churn, sales (who’s buying what and where), customer base and ARPU, usage and campaign performance reporting
  • Communicating and engaging with business stakeholders, understanding the data they need and how they need it to best meet their needs and thirst for insight

They’re a very collaborative and supportive work culture. Good social mix, and people genuinely enjoy being there. Which is why their average tenure tops 8 years, and we’ve helped lots of people over the years join them, who have gone on to achieve great things because the impact of their work has enabled them to shine and step up the career ladder quite quickly.

They’re a high-profile trusted brand with a massive data asset. They serve circa 30m+ consumers, offering a good variety of products and services including telecoms and media. The data division you’ll be joining is large (in excess of 150 people total), with the Customer Reporting team growing it’s headcount by 2 to support growing business needs.
