Toughest search to date: It was a Director role a few years back. The client would pay anything but he was adamant that the candidate had to have used their IT system, and nobody had ever heard of it let alone used it!! I had to phone the software company and convince them to tell me who they supplied to so I could track someone down who had used it. I eventually found a company in Essex who used it but were closing down so were happy to let me speak to their staff
