One of the UK’s leading retailers is seeking a Consumer Insights Expert, to work within their Multi-Channel Insights Function, delivering actionable insights around all digital and online channels.

You will have knowledge of various research techniques, plus the ability to interpret data in order to disseminate insight – but the role won’t be completely hands on running data, there is analytical resource to support with this.

We’re are looking for someone who takes a logical approach to understanding customer behavior across online channels; analysing (making sense of) data and pulling meaning from it, to deliver insights to stakeholders – whilst understanding the business commercial context in order to land the insights. You don’t need to know the ins and outs of all research methodologies, but you do need to ‘get’ the implications and be able to understand the logic of them, so you can brief them in and understand the importance of them.

You will most likely have come from a classic Customer Insights background within client side with experience of landing research / commercial grounding or a research agency background. However, strategy / consultancy background can also transition well.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

*Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
*You will be commercially focused as well as analytical to help land, the insight rather than just updating on what the insight says.
*You will be confident in presenting complex data and discussing the data/insight and what it means.
*You need to be able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand what is going on in their area and therefore what insight would be useful.
*You will ideally have broad experience of research with strong analytical nouse (with market data / customer behavioural data experience) plus some quant/qual experience – you don’t necessarily have to have briefed in research etc. but you do need to have an understanding / knowledge of it and how it is used
*Some knowledge of customer behavioural data would be beneficial or again understanding the usage / usefulness
*A background in Online Retailing would be beneficial but not completely necessary but knowledge of how retail businesses operate is essential

POSITION – Customer Insight Manager – Digital Channels

LOCATION – Central London

SALARY – £45k – £55k plus excellent benefits, discounts & bonus
