How did you get into recruitment ? Returned from travelling in Australia in 1998 to an offer of an interview with a Recruitment Consultancy through a friend. Having worked in various sales roles prior to leaving the UK it seemed like a good fit. Turned out I was quite good at it, and more importantly I loved it ! However having worked for two agencies there seemed to me to be a complete disregard for client and candidate care – and Blue Pelican was created to address this gap in the market.
Favourite film: Shawshank Redemption, but my guilty pleasure is Dirty Dancing – ‘Nobody puts Baby in a corner’
Favourite band/artist: Prince, Razorlight, Plan B

Favourite things: My three sons (when they are behaving themselves), a great Merlot (when they are not), late afternoon on a sun drenched beach
